Standard Kraken: Instant Buy/Sell/Convert/Recurring applies a 1 % commission plus a variable spread. With Kraken+ ($4,99/month or $49,99/year), the transaction commission can be reduced to 0 % up to $10 000 of monthly volume on the standard interface, but the spread and any payment fees remain payable. The 1 % is not a SEPA transfer fee: SEPA deposits are free on Kraken's side. EEA card purchase: 3,75 % + 0,25 € processing, to which the 1 % Instant Buy commission is added, i.e. a proportional component of 4,75 % + 0,25 € before spread. EUR SEPA withdrawals: around 0,90–1 € depending on provider; no universal fixed amount. Kraken Pro has a separate fee schedule.

05What to know before you start

Two interfaces to distinguish: standard Kraken (Instant Buy/Sell, variable fees + spread) and Kraken Pro (maker/taker). New Kraken Pro fee schedule since 09/07/2026: 0,40 % maker / 0,80 % taker at the base tier, then decreasing with volume or assets held. Kraken+ removes Instant Buy/Sell fees up to $10 000/month but not the spread. Krak Card available in the EEA, notably in France and Spain. Derivatives available to eligible EEA clients under local rules.
