04Security & custody

bitFlyer holds crypto-assets in its custodial infrastructure with cold wallets; users do not receive the private keys of the bitFlyer address. After purchase, they can transfer the assets to their personal wallet and take back control of the keys.

05What to know before you start

Two separate interfaces: consumer Buy/Sell with no explicit commission but a variable spread, and Lightning Spot with decreasing maker/taker fees. Recurring Buy available on web/app: daily, weekly, twice a month or monthly, from 10 € to 10 000 €, with no specific surcharge. Direct Corporate accounts available. No CFD/margin offer confirmed in the EU to date.
