This 0,50 % is a transaction commission, not a bank transfer cost: bank transfers are free on IG's side. EUR fund withdrawal: free on IG's side. No external crypto withdrawal is currently available. Crypto CFDs/options have a separate fee schedule: spreads and overnight financing that can reach around 25 %/year on BTC long and more on other assets depending on the product; these costs are separate from spot.

04Security & custody

Custodial crypto account provided by IG Europe GmbH. IG states 1:1 holding of assets, never lent out, via a MiCA-compliant European sub-custodian, with most assets in cold storage. External transfers are not yet available.

05What to know before you start

Two families of crypto products now coexist in France. (1) Spot: real holding, 0,5 % commission, 1:1 custody/cold storage, minimum 1,50 €, no external withdrawal. (2) Trading: crypto CFDs and Barrier Options with leverage, spreads and overnight fees. The IG company account exists but is officially limited to CFDs and Options/Barriers, not the spot crypto service.

Yes. IG Europe GmbH is licensed as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) under the MiCA regulation. Competent authority: Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin), Germany. Notification to the ESMA register: 21/11/2025. A MiCA licence works as a passport: it allows the provider to operate across the entire European Union.
