04Security & custody

Cryptonow Invest holds crypto-assets in segregated form in accordance with MiCAR; the client remains the legal owner. Users can also choose the non-custodial/offline Cryptonow Wallet depending on the product.

05What to know before you start

Two worlds to distinguish: Cryptonow Invest, a MiCA brokerage platform with real cryptos, custody and withdrawals, and retail gift/prepaid cards. The French offer is now explicitly documented in French. Current documentation states that around 40 cryptocurrencies are supported via the Prepaid Card for Cryptonow Invest. The app/wallet also allows offline self-custody depending on the product.

Is Cryptonow licensed under MiCA?

Yes. Cryptonow GmbH is licensed as a crypto-asset service provider (CASP) under the MiCA regulation. Competent authority: Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA), Austria. Notification to the ESMA register: 15/10/2025. A MiCA licence works as a passport: it allows the provider to operate across the entire European Union.
